The Technical Sales Engineer position is an engineering position within the Sales Department. The position is office based but will require travel.

The Technical Sales Engineer responsibilities include assisting customers with AV system designs, product training, troubleshooting and commissioning. In pursuit of that, the Technical Sales Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities

Pre-sales

  • Pro-actively support sales managers with large designs, tenders and quotes.
  • Manage the required follow up on all large designs, tenders and quotes.

After-sales

  • Give on-site commissioning support for projects that require this. For example, but not limited to: Fiber and or XTP systems, Quantum systems.
  • Give office or on-site trouble shoot support for escalated or complex problems.
  • Pro-actively intervene with trouble shooting/ RMA/ Driver call logs when there are more then 10 entries and a solution is not visible.

Training

  • Prepare and give office based or on-site product and technology trainings.

Product development

  • Inform product development through the standard processes about required products or products improvements needed for complying with tenders or enhance system designs.
  • Evaluate competitive designs and system products and create alternative designs.

  • A professional and friendly attitude that demonstrates a genuine desire to help solve problems and work with others in a friendly atmosphere.
